Professional looking eyebrows
Having a professional-looking eyebrow shape will help transform your face. The following steps will you get a well-shaped brow, or reshape your brows
Create the line
First you need to determine exactly where your brow should begin. This can be done by holding a make-up brush or a pencil straight up and down against one nostril. The point where the pencil meets your brow is where it should start. The end point of the brow should be just past your eye.
You may find that you have a natural arch with which to work with. If you need to create one, however, remember that the arch of your eyebrow should fall directly above the outside of your iris (the coloured part of the eye).
Once you have the line, use an eyebrow pencil to fill in the brow area that you want to preserve and start plucking hairs outside the edges.
Pluck
When plucking your eyebrows, you should start by taking out the hairs from underneath the brow. The next step is to work your way from the inside of the brow to the outside, removing one hair at a time. Be careful not to pluck in areas that are already thin enough, and pull hairs in the direction in which they grow.
Brush & trim
Brush your eyebrows upwards using a small brush. If they are too long, use a pair of grooming scissors to trim, but remember to only cut a tiny amount at a time.
Fill in
Once your brows are well shaped, you can use a range of products including brow fixers, pencils and powders, and tinted brow gels to enhance them or fill them in as needed.
Pluck or Wax
Plucking is the best way to shape your eyebrows, but some women do prefer to wax them. However, waxing should be left to a professional to avoid any mishaps that could leave you with half an eyebrow. Some salons also offer 'threading' specialists.
The first step of plucking is to apply an astringent such as witch hazel to anaesthetise the eyebrow area. Next, brush your eyebrows into place and then pluck any stray hairs underneath the eyebrow arch and anything else outside the natural brow line.
nce you have finished plucking, make sure you rub some soothing cream onto that area.
