Getting the most from your lipstick

Lipstick or lip pencil, there aren't many women who don't like to put on a dash of lippy before they go out. These are our 5 top tips on getting the most from your lipstick.

• Store you lipstick in the fridge as it lasts longer there.
  
• Test lipstick on the back of your hand.
  
• Outline your lips in lip pencil prior to applying lipstick or gloss if you don't want your lipstick to run.
  
• Women aged over 50 usually look better with a cream lipstick as opposed to a matte or gloss.  
  
• Should your lipstick be brighter than you first thought, colour your lips in with a darker pencil several shades darker (e.g., a brown lip pencil under dark red lipstick) and layer the lipstick on top.
