Cuticle care
For healthy cuticle care, you need a good cuticle remover as well as a cuticle stick (known as an orange stick). You do not need any cuticle oils or creams for this as a proper cuticle remover is the only thing able to soften the cuticle adequately.
Push your cuticles back
Upon applying the cuticle remover, gently use the orange stick to push your cuticles back. Ensure that you hold the stick at such an angle that you are able to do slowly yet steadily, without any damage to the cuticle. Next, move the orange stick in small circular motions around the base of the nail to enable the removal of any dead or flaky skin. Repeat this process thrice.
Once you have pushed your cuticles back, trim remaining hangnails with a cuticle nipper. Be careful as this implement is sharp and makes a clean cut.
Once the nail is clean, wipe off any residue with a cotton ball and then moisturise well.
