Makeup Use Amongst Teenagers Drops
Fri, 06 Aug 2010
Makeup use amongst teenagers and females aged 18 and upwards is declining, according to the market research company, The NPD Group.

Young girls are becoming aware of makeup younger, especially at mother-daughter bonding sessions, such as, spa birthday parties and nail parlours.

However, the fervour is wearing off when the girls get older and establish their own regime.

On the whole. 13 to 17 year old girls still use more makeup than their younger sisters.

However, the percentage of 18 plusses using makeup is lower than a few years ago, while the percentage of younger girls using makeup is higher.

By age 18, women are keen on beauty and keeping their skin healthy. They are also keen on improving their appearance with a few tried and tested cosmetics, however, the experimental time is over.

Lots of younger girls become very keen on wearing makeup, with eye liner, lip gloss and mascara being keen favourites.
