MINTEL research shows that the value of the British cosmetics market is blossoming and is going to reach the £1 billion mark during 2010.
In the last five years the makeup market has witnessed growth of nearly 40% and by the end of 2010 will be worth more than those in Spain, Germany and even France, home to several international leading cosmetic houses.
British women spend more on makeup than their female counterparts in Spain, Germany and France. In 2010, every British woman (aged 15 and above) will spend an average of £36 on just makeup, women in France will spend an average of £32.
