A brand new beauty survey undertaken for Tesco shows that half of British women usually go without makeup .
The main reason for abstinence from cosmetics is that women in the UK do not have enough confidence to go bare.
52 per cent of women interviewed stated that they do not enough confidence to don makeup.
As time progresses, it would appear many women become increasingly less confidence as to how to use cosmetics and many never commence doing so.
Just 21 per cent of respondents considered mascara to be a must have.
Just 6 per cent and 3 per cent of respondents deemed lipstick and blusher to be necessary.
