Hair plays a crucial role in how we look.

Hair care is part of our beauty regime, along with makeup .

The Chinese hair care market is predicted to increase by 15.5 percent between 2011 and 2013.

Astonishingly around 20 percent of Chinese people shampoo their hair on a daily basis, with three quarters of them doing so every three days.

This renders the market value of shampoo at $4.5 billion, with the market value of other hair care products being worth about $4 billion.

There is an immense hair care market in China.

Procter and Gamble Co has a 55 percent market share herein, with Unilever coming second.

In 2010, P&G stated that it would be investing a minimum of $1 billion in China over the next five years and invested $80 million in an innovation centre in Beijing.
