As the image conscious man gets to grips with guyliner and mascara, eyelash extensions are becoming increasingly popular.
Eylure, the brand endorsed by Girls Aloud, have launched fake eyelashes for men, which are on sale for £4.75 a pair in stores across the UK from Boots to Harrods . They are available in thick or fine varieties and have been designed to be discreet with invisible clear plastic sticky strips.
When Selfridges launched its in-store services, beauticians said they were surprised at the number of men investing in eyelash extensions . David Walker-Smith, beauty and menswear director at Selfridges, said: "We first noticed this increased interest in male eye-grooming when the new Blink bar was bombarded by men."
The Blink and Go bar at Harrods also revealed that top and bottom lash extensions proved to be very popular with their male clientele.
Last year a survey found that over three million men in Britain wear makeup on a regular basis.
