A third of women will not leave their house without their makeup on.
Around 3,000 women were interviewed, with more than a third believing that they could lose the opportunity to work should they not use makeup.
Other research which involved 8 million women uncovered that women consider cosmetics to be part of their routine; they wear makeup when going to the supermarket or greengrocer’s.
60 per cent of women claimed that they will not go to the office unless they are made up . Almost 50 per cent would prefer to use cosmetics as opposed to having no make up on.
A quarter of women presumed that it would be difficult to get promotion should they not make themselves up. Another 37 per cent of women thought that their management would assume they do not take look after themselves should they not undertake a beauty regime.
A tenth of women even use makeup when at home.
