Model, actor and TV presenter Lily Cole has been named as the first ever global brand advocate for the The Body Shop .
Ms Cole has teamed up with the iconic cosmetics giant to launch a new beauty movement, called Beauty with Heart, which aims to promote their skin care and make-up products, which are all made using vegetarian and fairtrade products that are not tested on animals. The model is already an enthusiastic supporter of the brand’s global campaigning initiatives which aim to inspire individuals everywhere and transform the boundaries of beauty.
She said: “I have long been an advocate of the potential of using business and consumer power to cause positive change. The Body Shop takes a responsible attitude to people and the environment, and it feels amazing to be supporting a brand who are pioneers in that way of working.”
The 23-year-old is also lending her name to the new Cruelty Free Make-up collection, which will be available in shops from the end of May.
