Organic make-up and beauty products have grown in popularity in recent years and are now more mainstream, according to health and beauty expert Jane Druker.
Ms Druker explained that such cosmetics have become widespread across the skin care market and suggests this is in part due to their endorsement by celebrities. Further, she said “their quality and efficacy is now perceived as equal to traditional beauty products”, which has helped boost their use.
She added: “Organic products are no longer viewed as the poorer hippie cousins of traditional cosmetics, as they can cleanse, tone and moisturise equally well.”
One of the main selling points designed to attract people to use natural items is the idea that using those which are chemical-free are healthier for the body. Recently, make-up artist at organicmakeupartist.co.uk, Laura Jane Sessions commented that ingredients such as botanical extracts, essential oils and nourishing herbs are all beneficial for the skin.
