Pierre Cardin is a French fashion designer and one of the most recognisable names in the fashion industry. He is best known for his avant-garde style and space age designs. His parents were French, but he grew up in Italy.

In 1953, Pierre Cardin founded his own fashion house. He quickly gained recognition for his unique designs, and by the 1960s he was dressing some of the most famous celebrities in the world.
