A new anti-ageing cream for older women is set to be a sell out when it hits stores later this month.
Boots have unveiled the Lift and Luminate Day and Night Serum, priced £24.95, which claims to hold back the years for women aged 45. It has been tested on more than 1,200 women and is said to reduce the appearance of fine lines, even skin tone and firm up the face to give it a youthful glow.
Two years ago the Protect and Perfect lotion sold out in 24 hours after it went on sale when scientists from the BBC2 science programme Horizon called it a ‘miracle product’.
Tests reveal that Lift and Luminate reduced age spots after two months while seven out of ten women in trials said their skin looked younger after a month of slathering it on.
Dr Tamara Griffiths, consultant dermatologist at Manchester University said: “Lines, wrinkles and sagging skin are obvious concerns, but the ageing effects of pigmentation such as age spots and uneven skin tone can also play a significant role. There are treatments available however they can be costly and cause side effects and I certainly will welcome a safe, at home treatment.”
